Today was the first of a number of rehearsals for the acoustic Heartache quartet that will support Martin Simpson and Liz Hanks Sept 22nd at The Old Woollen Leeds.
We now have a great setlist that brings together original tracks I have written over the last decade as well as two great covers from the “Covering these Tracks” project. As well as myself, the ensemble is Claire Helm on vocals, Evan Davies on fiddle and mandolin and Harry Orme on guitar.
This is a great sonic mix and of course all three of these artists are quite superb musicians. Its a true pleasure to work with such talented individuals and this promises to be a great night. Tickets for the show are available here
